Down town where all the lights are bright

I had to take the train downtown today to pick up a criminal record check and i must say that there is something exhilarating about going downtown Calgary. I don't know if it is the anticipation of being mugged or assaulted by the local train people, or if it is the constant shaking and nauseous motions of the locomotive that makes your heart sink into your stomach. I find it very refreshing to read the offensive t-shirts of the hate filled punk teens. I love they way their safety pin loaded hoodies glisten in the sun as they smoke and spit in alcoves and doorways. I love the fact that there is in no way access to a washroom anywhere along the line, which causes the homeless people to turn garbage cans into their personal evacuation stations. My hats go off to those of you who take the train on a regular basis. You are brave.

  1. After being cooped up in Portage for 34 1/2 years, the city life sounds exhilerating!!! Hardly wait to ride the Winnipeg bus to work every day!! Whoo hooo... woman on the loose!!
