Begars can't be choosers

So I have been trying to donate our office furniture and it is a lot harder that you would think. first of all since Matt is gone i can't physically move the furniture myself and to arrange for someone to come and get it is almost impossible but finally after 6 different phone calls Women in Need offered to come today and pick up 2 desks a book shelf, stereo and stand side table and a box of house hold crap and two garbage bags of clothes. so they said that they would be here any time from 8am til 5pm so that meant that i had to sit at home all day cause heaven forbid i go to use the toilet while they come a knocking. And it always seems that just when you have to stay put is when you need to go somewhere the most. Anyways so i sat at home all day and about 3pm two men come to the door. I showed them the stuff and they started to get real picky. Sorry we cant take anything that is painted cause it might be painted with lead paint. What this book shelf is only a couple years old and i am almost certain that it wasn't painted in 1974. and then they said that they couldn't take one of the desks because it would have to be disassembled and reassembled and they don't do that either. i felt like saying "I don't know what kind of a person you think i am but i am donating this stuff cause i want it out of my house not out of the goodness of my heart and if a charity named women in need can't see that i am a woman who needs this crap hauled out of here then perhaps they should change their name to picky people wanting certain stuff. Anyways they took the good stuff and now i am left with a pile of crap that i somehow have to try and get rid of again. Matt says that i should ask the hillbillies if they want it but i would rather strap it to my back and walk it to the dump then talk to those toothless idiots.
